AdPet
The idea of this project was to create a website for a fictional dog shelter named AdPet to provide information about dog breeds as well as options for adoption.
If you're wondering why this project is here, well, it holds a special place for me as it was one of the first projects I worked on while undergoing training in UX/UI design. Come along as I explain a bit about this simple project.
Project overview
Research findings
An unmoderated usability study was responsible for the perception of how users would react to a low fidelity prototype. Initially there was an assumption that people would find the design completely easy to follow and also welcoming and engaging. That vision did endure to the end of the study.
Preliminary studies resulted in personas, such as:
Dave Smith
Age: 39
Education: Master's degree
Location: Sydney, Australia
Occupation: IT analyst
“Dogs are like people, but more kind.”
Problem statement: Dave is a single father of two who needs to adopt a dog because he believes that will provide joy and a sense of responsability to his kids.

Prioritized Insights
P.0
Based on the theme that: for most users more information is needed for confirmation, an insight is: user need information that is more abundant in order to finish the task.
What I learned
This project served me as an eye opener to the entire ux design process, since I was present the whole time, at every task. The ideia of designing a user-centered paradigm was the guide to this project. However initial, the design of this website taught me much.
What's next?
There are three more steps next that are needed. First, to add some features, such as google maps integration to further address user pain points. Second, I would like to make the animations smoother, to make the app more enjoyable. Last but not least, the rest of the user flow inteded for every screen in the sitemap still needs to be done.
